Life and work

    Respondent, as King's Advocate, in Gregori Haji Lambrou v. W. Rees Davies, Supreme Court of Cyprus, 9 March 1905 (Cyprus Law Reports 6, 110-121), which Stanley-Price (p. 17) cites for the appeal over the Government's right to confiscate the small seized part of the second Lambousa treasure under the 1874 law; a new law of 1905 then made all antiquities Government property. On Dalton's account (p. 2) the Government appealed against the finders' first-instance success and obtained a reversal.
