Life and work
- 1885–1886Stayed in Nicosia in the house of Colonel Falkland Warren (called 'Colonel Falkland' in his book) and met a young Cambridge professor with his Girton wife ('Mr Adam') who was superintending excavations; a basket of prehistoric pottery and a bronze spearhead was shown at dinner.
