- c. 1871Published, 'about ten years ago' (from 1881), a Greek dissertation on the primitive inhabitants of Cyprus: Pelasgic tribes from western Asia Minor settling before the 16th century BC, then Phoenician Kition, then Greek colonies after the Trojan war that Hellenized the island.
