    Kiely (2017) describes him as teaching the Byzantine to Renaissance archaeology of the island at King's College London, and his major work on the Byzantine churches of Cyprus as the origin of the Heritage Gazetteer of Cyprus (KCL, supported by the A.G. Leventis Foundation, with S. Dunn and C. Roueche).
