Life and work
- August 1870Donated to the Imperial Hermitage about fifty small pieces of ancient art that he had 'specially acquired for the Museum in Cyprus'. The description (catalogue) was made in Larnaca by Demetrios Pierides; it listed limestone statuettes and fragments, terracotta figurines, small clay and glass vessels, an inscribed stone plate (now lost) and two mosaic fragments.
