- 1992Published 'Spätantike und frühbyzantinische Silberlöffel. Bemerkungen zur Produktion von Luxusgütern im 5. bis 7. Jahrhundert' (Münster Westfalen: Aschendorff), in which, according to Merrillees (2009), he attributed eleven spoons without recorded provenance to the first Lambousa treasure.

Eleven silver spoons without recorded provenance, attributed by Hauser to the first Lambousa treasure (c. 1897, 'Lambousa' hoard, partly in the British Museum). Merrillees locates ten: four bought by the Metropolitan Museum of Art from the art market in 1913; three once in the Jackson collection in England (two in the National Museum of Wales, Cardiff, one in the St Louis Art Museum); one acquired in Rome in 1910, now Staatliche Museen, Berlin; two sold at Monaco in 1987 from the Collection de Martine, Comtesse de Béhague (from the Succession du Marquis de Ganay)
