    Tested the whole central part of the Late Bronze Age site of Hala Sultan Tekke with a magnetometer before the 1972 Swedish excavation (28 August to 30 September 1972, directed by Astrom, University of Goteborg sponsorship); the excavators dug the places where the instrument had detected irregularities that might be courts, streets, houses, wells or hearths, and uncovered a large building probably of LC IIIA.

  2. 1977
    The 1977 Swedish excavation of a court and adjoining rooms in sector 8 confirmed Linington's suggestions about the extent of the building, made after a proton-magnetometer exploration of the site; walls continuing south showed the building extended in that direction.
