Life and work
- 10 December 1880Wrote from The Chimes, Kilburn, to 'Major di Cesnola' after inspecting his collection of antiquities brought from Cyprus (the Lawrence-Cesnola collection): praised in particular the Phoenician terracottas and hoped it would not be dispersed but kept intact, like the collection in New York, in a public museum. Printed in the 1880/1881 photographic album.
