Life and work
- October 1888Appointed by High Commissioner Sir Henry Bulwer, then Auditor-General in the island administration, to take over the running of the Cyprus Museum from the Council, which had resigned. Bulwer deferred the change-over until Samuel Brown (Keeper) returned from leave.

- 10 December 1888The Council, meeting at the Imperial Ottoman Bank, Nicosia, ratified the decision and authorised the handing over of the Museum records to Nicolle.
