- August 1988With Paolo Mora, Jan Kosinka and Lorenza D'Alessandro, inspected the Orpheus mosaic and planned the lifting with Demetrios Michaelides (Archaeological Officer for Paphos, Department of Antiquities) and N. Stanley Price; photodocumentation done during this visit.

- 5 September 1988 – 14 October 1988Phase 1 of the Orpheus mosaic project (on-site work plus instruction for trainee conservators); Capriotti and D'Alessandro wrote the sections on photodocumentation (quadrants of 80 x 80 cm), facing and consolidation of the mosaic, detachment of the wall painting (a bichrome fresco c. 230 x 50 cm, consolidated with Paraloid B72 and faced with Japanese tissue, gauze and hemp cloth), and biocide cleaning tests on two-colour pavement mosaics in the Villa of Theseus; also recorded the preparatory layers.
