    Directed a survey of the Tremithos river area from Ayia Anna to Kalochorio in search of Mesolithic remains; several hunter-fisher camp sites with flint scrapers and other tools found; expedition hoped to verify by excavation the next season.

    Directed soundings near Ayia Anna, within the Hala Sultan Tekke mission directed by P. Åström; finds only simple flint tools like those of early Khirokitia (c. 6000 BC), no huts; stratigraphy hard to explain, no absolute date likely.

    Swedish team under Baudou and Åström investigated sites in the Tremithos valley (Ayia Anna); flint tools seemingly pre-dating Khirokitia; tentative date c. 10,000 BC for the geological strata; preliminary report in RDAC 1983, 1-8.
