Life and work

    Joined the Vasilikos Valley Project and in the 1979 season cleaned, consolidated (PVA in toluene) and stored the bones of Burials 3, 5, 7 (and the skull and pelvis of Burial 2) from Kalavasos-Tenta, which had been lifted en bloc in calcrete blocks, and analysed the pit soil and underlying havara (atomic absorption, X-ray diffraction, thin sections); found gypsum exceeding calcite about 3:1 in the pit soils. Elemental analyses were done at the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources and Geological Survey, and XRD at the Demokritos centre, Athens.
