    On a trip to Egypt acquired Cypriot pieces both for Kiel University and for his private collection.

    Part of his estate (Nachlass) reached the Kiel Antikensammlung; another part of his collection later passed to Hans-Günter Buchholz and is now in the Biblisch-Archäologisches Institut, Wuppertal.
