An additional sounding on the highest point of the temple site, north-west of the peristyle house, exposed just below the modern ground a small Byzantine church that local tradition attributes to St Nicholas: a sixteenth-century single-nave building with an apse, destroyed by fire.

“Un sondage supplémentaire a été entrepris sur le point le plus haut du site du temple, au Nord-Ouest de la maison à péristyle. Ici, immédiatement sous le sol moderne, apparaît une petite église byzantine que la tradition locale attribue à Saint-Nicolas. Il s'agit d'un édifice du xvie siècle à nef unique avec abside, détruit par un incendie”
