History
- 1952Jean Berard and Jean Deshayes joined the Kouklia Expedition's soundings at Nea Paphos from early June; the western part of the site was tested without pre-classical strata. They identified the Skender Geometric tombs found in wartime air-raid trenches.

- 1953–1955French Mission in Ktima under Berard excavated the Geometric-Hellenistic Iskender (Skender) cemetery at Ktima with Deshayes; Deshayes published the finds in La Necropole de Ktima (BAH 75, 1963).

- 1955The French share of the finds went to the Louvre, said to be the last objects to reach a French museum under the partage law; crates were opened in transit and vases crushed, then restored in the Louvre stores by mission members (per Suzanne Berard, via Caubet).
