Neta: the Swedish Cyprus Expedition necropolis and sanctuary

In 1928 the Swedish Cyprus Expedition, directed by Einar Gjerstad, excavated at Neta a Bronze Age necropolis with rock-cut tombs and a sanctuary that yielded Cypro-Archaic II limestone sculpture¹. Field work at the expedition's sites was carried out by either Sjöqvist or Westholm¹. The site remains unpublished apart from two sculptures, catalogue entries 305 and 306 (Medelhavsmuseet MM Acc 667 and MM Acc 669), published in 2003 in the Medelhavsmuseet catalogue¹.
