The project
In July 2009 the Department of Antiquities, under Archaeological Officer Giorgos Georgiou, carried out a salvage excavation at Koutsalona, in the eastern part of Mitsero village, where road works had revealed two chamber tombs1. The annual report dates Tomb 7, which had one locus, to the Cypro-Classical period, and Tomb 8, which had two loci, to the Cypro-Classical and Hellenistic periods1.
