The project
Tomb 5 at Ayii Saranta, near Linou, held a hoard of diversely shaped bronze objects1. The National Guard found the tomb in "excavations" at their camp, and Pavlos Flourentzos excavated it1. Linou-Ayii Saranta lies south-east of the village of Katydhata1.
Swiny (1989) dated the metal objects to a late phase of the Middle Cypriot period1. Flourentzos (1989, 62) observed that Tomb 5 appeared to be part of a looted necropolis1. He published several tombs from Linou in 1989, in "A group of tombs of Middle Bronze Age date from Linou", a chapter in Paul Åström's Katydhata. A Bronze Age Site in Cyprus1.
