The project
Joan du Plat Taylor surveyed and partially excavated at Ayios Philon, the site of ancient Karpasia, in 1935, 1937 and 19381. She explored the environs of the church of St Philon and the late town wall2,3. During the work of 1937 and 1938 she mapped the remains of the harbour moles; Harpster reports that she did not investigate underwater material1,3.
A. H. S. Megaw is named with her as co-author of the report on the early Christian buildings, published in 19814. Where the finds went is not recorded.
