The project
In 1965 the Archaeological Exploration section of the Department of Antiquities, whose work included the search for new sites, located Vrysi, about 2 km east of Ayios Epiktitos1. Karageorghis's chronicle of the year's work in the Bulletin de correspondance hellénique classes it as Chalcolithic and records Red-on-White pottery, mostly fragments of large bowls1. The Birmingham and Glasgow expedition later worked at Vrysi.
