The project
A mission of the State Hermitage Museum, directed by V. A. Goroncherovskiy, excavated at Anogyra-Vlou1. Fieldwork ran in 2009–2012 and 2014, with a geomagnetic survey in 2015, and the Institute for the History of Material Culture of the Russian Academy of Sciences is also recorded as a sponsor. Hermary's 2012 overview says the mission had been digging there for three years and reports a small sanctuary of the Imperial period on the site1.
