The project
N. P. Stanley Price visited Akanthou-Arkosyko, also called Tatlisu-Ciftlikduzu, twice in 1972 and once again in 1973, and found four obsidian tools, stone vessel fragments, stone implements, many chert tools and bone fragments1. On cadastral maps the locality is Lainon1. Şevketoğlu and Hansen write that obsidian blades were recorded as surface finds during his survey, and that this record attracted the attention of another survey project in 19962.
