Volume IV, Part 3 of The Swedish Cyprus Expedition (Lund 1956) covers the Hellenistic and Roman periods in Cyprus. It is by Olof Vessberg and Alfred Westholm. According to the preface, Westholm began the work and Vessberg took over the chapters on stone sculpture, other arts and crafts and the historical survey after Westholm became curator of the Gothenburg Art Gallery; each section is signed A. W. or O. V. The drawings are by Bror Millberg.

The volume opens with architecture: sanctuaries (Soli, Old Paphos, Salamis, Kourion), houses, public buildings such as theatres, gymnasia, baths and water systems, and tombs from Marion to Salamis, followed by a study of architectural relations. The pottery is classified in five phases, Hellenistic I–II and Roman I–III, with chronology and ceramic relations. Sculpture in stone, bronze and terracotta follows, then other arts and crafts (metalwork, jewellery, terracotta lamps, bone), a summary and historical survey, and an appendix by Gudmund Björck on the metric inscription from Soli. The site study that preceded it is Westholm's The Temples of Soli.
