Oct. 13 Thursday, 6 Removal of earth, drawings and sorting of pottery only. Post, to Famagusta. 6 h 1/4: 15 1/2 ° C shade.
Oct. 14 Friday 6th day of excavation. 6 h: 18 1/2 ° C. Strong wind, sun rising at 6h. Continuing excavations and began new trench J (2) at the level of the fine building which abuts against street NS. This building, according to the sherds contained in its original floor appears to be of Middle Bronze or end of M.B. Beyond street NS, that is to say to the West we recognise another large building with walls resting on the rock and of which all the blocks show cut marks from quarrying. As the Iron street and perhaps the Late Bronze street passes over this wall, it seems that this building was dismantled in Late Bronze or Iron. See continuation of observations Monday 16. X.
