Mr Prof.Dr.C.F.A.Schaeffer 16 Chaussée 68 I e y l a n d (R.-Rhin) F r a n c e

Dear, very honoured Prof. Schaeffer.

Many thanks for your letter of 6.6. I am very pleased to hear that Mr Lagarce enjoyed his visit with us. We certainly want to make casts of all the bronzes from Enkomi, so that they are documented should any new signs of decay appear one day. Unfortunately we have had to postpone these casting works, as one of us had to travel to Stockholm to make copies of important Swedish objects for an exhibition that opens here shortly. This has set back my dispatch programme considerably.

Now I do want to see that the little car is ready to leave in any case. In August I shall take my holiday and spend it as always in Switzerland. If it were possible for you, I would also on thermoluminescence [illegible] or your (Tuesday?) of the month of July be his friend. We have [illegible] subsequently also the expert opinion on the head Ferrig, as far as you could take this with you too.

We (Mr Ankner and I) will gladly write you a technical report on the bronzes dealt with here. We can still discuss the date of delivery during your visit. With warm greetings

Yours very devotedly
