Monsieur K. NICOLAOU Curator of the Archaeological Museum NICOSIA Island of Cyprus

Dear Mr Nicolaou,

Thank you for your letter of 13 October, which M. Pelon forwarded to me. My archaeological deposit at the Collège de France has had to be transferred to an annex room because of transformation works. My files and racks have been piled up, so that research is difficult for the moment. As soon as I have access to these documents again, I will gather what must be returned to your Museum. In the meantime, I remain responsible for these loans.

I have learned that you were going to come to Paris to give lectures. I am delighted with Madame Schaeffer at this opportunity to see you again. Please inform me of the dates of your presence here.

Please present the best regards of my wife and my very respectful homage to Madame Nicolaou and believe, dear Mr Curator,
