Series·Swedish Cyprus Expedition

Objects: Levanto-Helladic, black-glazed and figured pottery

108 object photographs

This series holds 108 photographs of imported and later fine pottery whose museum record gives no find-place, gathered here by class. The largest groups are Black Glazed Ware (33 photographs), sherds captioned "Lev. Hell." (31), Red Figured (16) and Black Figured (6), with a few Levanto-Helladic bowl-jars and amphora-craters, Red Slip, and Black and Red Lustrous wares. Seven name the Cyprus Museum, and six carry Medelhavsmuseet accession numbers (Acc.), the series used for objects acquired between 1930 and 1954, nearly all of them from Cyprus.
