Description

Two dark oxen, yoked together with a wooden beam, pull a plough through freshly turned soil in the foreground, and one lowers its head towards the ground. A man in a light long shirt, sash and dark trousers stands at the right holding a long slender stick. Behind them are palm trees, shrubs, a low stone wall and a flat-roofed building at the left.

Description, scan 2
A farmer stands at the right of a wooden plough pulled by two oxen across a freshly turned field. The nearer ox lowers its head to the ground while the other is harnessed beside it, and the man holds a long pole. Palm trees, a low stone wall and a flat-roofed building stand behind the field under a pale sky.
