Description

A narrow unpaved lane runs between high walls of rough, irregularly shaped stones, with a fallen log lying across the foreground. The houses have tiled roofs, one topped with grass or straw, and a small barred window is set in the left wall. Beyond the buildings, bare hills rise under a cloudy sky, with trees and bushes on the right.

Description, scan 2
