Description

A narrow lane in Lazania runs uphill between stone-built houses, its surface paved with flat stones and steps. On the left a low dry-stone wall supports a roof of timber and brushwood, and a small figure of a person stands on a roof at the top centre. Strong light and shadow fall across the paving and a wooden door on the right.

Description, scan 2
A steep lane paved with flat stones runs up between stone-walled houses with wooden doors. On the left, a dry-stone wall and an overhanging roof of branches and brushwood rest on a tree-trunk post, and on the right a stone wall has a wooden door in a timber frame. A single person stands on a roof edge at the top centre, and stone steps climb in the middle distance.
