Room 71The remainder of the storerooms in this part room 71 shows certain differences from the other hitherto described both as regards the architecture and the soil conditions. The corridor, which runs along the outer wall continues not in into room 71. This has on the other hand a [illegible] own entrance directly from the north-west and is connected through another gateway with room 72 (see the plan). The beige-coloured earth which was found again in the other storerooms as the main fill is here replaced by a – apart from the surface layer [illegible] – two-level earth mass: lowest and against wall 71-25 a layer consisting of grey mudbrick earth In the upper parts of this layer is observed a large mass of cement pieces. This layer has in the collapse carried with it a quantity of stones from wall 71-25 which are now found in the earth fallen down (see photo). Above this grey mudbrick layer lies another formed of red mudbrick and above this the very thick dark surface layer.
