500 - 300 is the date given to a curious vase-class. It is a reddish-yellow, glossy ware that is over-polished in long vertical streaks from neck to base. It could be called shaved polished ware. The vessel form is stereotyped: a heavy narrow-necked round lekythos form, sometimes tending towards a doubleconical vessel body, sometimes with abnormally broad shoulders. The handle that runs from neck to shoulder is a profiled band handle of metallic type. All the vessels are marked (drawing) B / T 3 or B / T 7 or B / T 4 etc. The same ware in the same tombs had a black variant. A couple of examples are found on a middle stage with mottled ware.
