… the rock and in a wide wall-structure upa hacked gutter in this, pure classical - Hellenistic pottery is found. This layer has dating certainty. – C:a – m from the stated starting point of the wall of the western entrance to the diazoma breaks off, but continues on the other side of it. The wall here is of a clearly weaker character, gypsum-bonded of irregular cobblestones, and rests also now at its outer edge on the rock, c. 1–1,50 m from this a horizontally running joint is marked, both as regards the adjacent earth and the masonry itself. Above this line the wall namely projects c. 1 dm. The bonding between the stones is also broken along this line, which however does not apply to the solidly gypsum-bonded pillars, which at roughly every 5te metres are found all round the wall.
