The stratification is undisturbed from and with layer 3 downward. Layer 2 varies extremely in thickness and in places disappears entirely and in the area. Thus it thins noticeably around the statue bases, where layer 1 and 3 almost border on each other.

24/4The four squares A 8-12 : 1-2 begin to be cleared uped. The row of statue bases continues, and in front of them the earth has been worked deeper down than elsewhere, in accordance with the stratification in the section

25/4From the 12th - 17th metre the section's bottom layer, the sterile sand, is dug through. The true base of the section is found at a depth of 2.80 - 3.00 metres and consists of up-softened rock. The 0.75 m. thick bottom layer is homogeneous sand, but has nevertheless held a couple of sherds (geometric)

The squares A 8:1-2 are worked down to and including the burnt layer. This is thickest in A:8:1 and thins out in A 8:2, and is limited to the area immediately in front of the statue bases.
