Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, Csn3650. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A round-bodied vessel with a short, wide flaring neck, standing on a three-legged metal stand against a plain backdrop. Dark painted bands of parallel lines run down both sides of the body, and a central panel carries a horizontal band of hatching, a large crossed motif and a lattice-filled triangle beneath. A handwritten number is written on the right side of the body, and the surface is worn in places.
