Bronze openwork sculpture of two lions attacking a bull — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, Csn3576. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A corroded, pitted bronze openwork piece with a dark surface, set on a pale card mount with a handwritten label along the bottom edge. At the left a lion walks with a curled tail and a rippled mane, and at the upper right a second lion stands over the back of a heavier body. The bulky form at lower centre and right, with a blunt head and a leg, is the bull.
