Pottery White Painted VII (E. 081)

White Painted VII pottery shallow bowl with two handles, interior decorated with concentric bands and petal motifs — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, Csn3257. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A shallow circular bowl with two small loop handles, photographed from above so the interior decoration shows. The inside has concentric bands of patterned borders, radiating fan-like strokes and leaf or petal motifs around a central boss with a hole through it. Several cracks run across the surface where the vessel has been mended from broken pieces, set against a plain light backdrop.
