Cypriote Mining

Weathered wooden timber with two short side projections, shown beside a metal ruler — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, Csn3103. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A long, dark, weathered wooden piece stands upright against a pale background, with a broken, uneven top edge and cracked, split grain along its surface. Two short square-ended projections stick out from its sides, one on the left near the top and one on the right lower down. A metal ruler rises beside its upper right edge for scale.
