Description

A round, dark cross section of wood photographed on a pale grey backdrop, with a cast shadow falling to the right. Concentric growth rings run through the piece, and many small bright specks, flecks of metal, are scattered in a band across the rings. Two cracks run through the wood, one from the top edge toward the centre and one across the lower right.
