Pottery Red Polished II Bowl (L.314B.28)

Dark rounded bowl with a small lug on one side and white-filled incised bands of chevron and zigzag decoration, from Lapithos — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, Csn2009. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A deep, rounded bowl with a small pierced lug on the right, photographed alone on a pale backdrop and seen slightly from above so the interior shows. The dark surface carries white-filled incised decoration: a band of chevrons below the rim, a zigzag band, and concentric arcs with short hatched groups on the body. The surface is speckled, and the rim looks intact.
