Kountoura Trachonia T. 2-14

Round find from Kountoura Trachonia with a rough, encrusted surface and raised markings — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, Csn0973. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A single round object, roughly disc-shaped, photographed head-on against a dark octagonal mount. Its surface is heavily pitted and encrusted with uneven, lumpy texture, with raised shapes and a darker hollow in the lower centre and at left. Lighting from the upper left brings out the relief, but the material and type of object are hard to judge from the photograph.
