Bowl with a pattern, Cyprus Museum

Bowl with a wide open mouth and an upturned handle on its right side, photographed against a dark background — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, Csn0601. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A single vessel, a bowl with a wide open mouth and a thick rounded rim, sits on a narrow base and is photographed side-on against a dark backdrop. A handle or lug rises from the right side of the body and curves up above the rim. The pale surface shows faint horizontal streaks, and a thin dark line runs down the front of the body, possibly a crack; no clear painted pattern is visible.
