Description

The carved head faces right in profile against a plain grey backdrop, standing on a dark cylindrical base. The hair is shown as a band of incised leaves over the crown, with rows of rounded curls above the ear, and the beard is made of tight spiral curls. The ear, eye and lips are carved in relief, and the surface looks pitted and weathered, with a broken edge at the bottom of the neck.
