Description

A carved limestone head with a rounded face, almond-shaped eyes, a small nose and a closed, slightly smiling mouth. The hair is arranged in rows of spiral curls across the forehead and a row of rounded locks above, with a raised mass of hair on top. The neck is broken off at the base and the head stands on a dark cylindrical pedestal against a plain grey backdrop; the surface shows some chipping near the chin and neck.
