Limestone Proto-Cypriote, Ar.

Description

A limestone sculpture of a bearded head and upper neck, shown in profile facing left. The tall headdress has a broken top edge, and a row of round studs runs along its lower edge above the forehead. The curled beard, the ear and a band of curls at the neck are carved in relief against a plain grey backdrop, and the pale stone shows small chips and surface wear.
