Description

A limestone head shown in right-facing profile, with a close-fitting cap rising to a small knob at the top and a ribbed band at the brow. The face has a narrow eye, a prominent nose and a small mouth, and a long tapering projection runs from the lower face down to a rounded end. The head sits on a dark square plinth against a plain grey backdrop, and the pale surface shows wear and chips near the neck.
