Limestone Neo-Cypriote

Description

A carved limestone head with a tall cylindrical headdress marked by a raised rosette and a band of ornament above the brow. The face has large almond-shaped eyes, a narrow nose, a small closed smiling mouth and projecting ears. The surface is pitted and weathered, and the head rests on a dark cylindrical stand against a plain grey backdrop.
