Buildings, people and vaults

Rider silhouetted under a stone archway, looking down a street of tall buildings with balconies and shutters — Photograph: John Lindros, Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, Csn0271. Public domain (CC0).

Description

Seen through a dark, rounded archway, a narrow street runs away between rows of multi-storey buildings with shuttered windows and a wooden balcony on the right. A rider on an animal sits at the centre as a dark silhouette, with a man standing at the right edge and several small figures further down the street. A short bollard stands in the foreground.
