Terracotta bowl from Vounaous - Bellapais, seen from above and from the side, with small clay figures inside and on its rim — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C09415. Public domain (CC0).

Description

Two views of one shallow terracotta bowl, from above (top) and obliquely from the side (bottom). The interior and rim are crowded with small clay figures standing upright, some with raised arms, some broken, with a few animal-like shapes among them. The bowl sits on a grey backdrop, and the figures are lit clearly against its pale interior.
