Terracotta Neo-Cypriote, Vasilika 3

Description

A terracotta head of a bearded figure, shown in three-quarter view against a plain pale background. It wears a flat-topped cap with a round knob-like ornament at the side, and has a long beard marked with incised vertical lines that ends in a rounded point. The face has a broad nose and small mouth, and the pitted, worn surface shows rough broken edges at the lower back of the head.
